We went to Longbeach for camping. It was pretty damp, but overall fun. The first day was mostly touristy until our friends got there. We hung out at camp and then got ready to walk down to the beach. Man oh man. Trucks driving everywhere on the beach. There was a sort of unofficial road on the beach near the water and everything behind that area was where people had set up for the show. I have never in my life seen so man close explosive fireworks. Every direction the sounded. Lighting off on the ground and in the air, there was never a dark sky.
Honestly I don't even know if we saw the show because I couldn't tell the difference. I will admit in the beginning I was a bit scared we were going to get hit, mainly because so many were going of in the sky right above you. Soon enough Jed calmed my nerves and I got used to it.
Hands down the best firework show I've seen. If you haven't been to Longbeach Washington for 4th of July, do it! Reserve your spot early because they go fast. Man...what a weekend!
...now to gear up for the 3 weddings I'm going to in the next 2 weeks...
