My Exhausting Weekend

Our friends Andrew and Megan had their bachelor and bachelorette parties this weekend. The boys went to Lake Chelan and went boating and stuff like that. Needless to say there are no photos of that since apparently it's an unwritten rule to not take photos at a bachelor party. We took loads of photos however. I have never been so tired on a Monday in my life. I think I slept like 20 hours in 3 days. It was super fun though.

We showed up the night before and spent about 2 hours trying to find a hotel room...in some sketchy places on MLK blvd in Portland...yeah that was fun :) The next day we got ready and proudly wore our hot pink shirts that read "Megan's Bachelorette Party 2008". The day started off with High Tea at the Heathman Hotel. Ooooh I swear food tastes better when it's tiny. It was so much fun! Then we went and got Pedicures. One girl got cut, but other than that it was just drinks and pampering. Finally we went to the hotel. Just an FYI Embassy Suites has complimentary happy hour! We took full advantage of that. With a happy, but mild buzz we hit dinner and had delicious food in our tummies! Then it was off to reek havoc in Portland. We went to the Dixi which is like a "coyote ugly" style bar. With free drinks and a proper dance floor we had a great time. The night ended when some guy with a boot stepped on Megan's toe and cut it up pretty good. Some of us went for enormous NY Style (the best style) pizza. MMMM

All in all it was a great weekend. An exhausting weekend but a great one. Until my next great adventure...hmmm oh baby shower and Blockbuster Girls Reunion this weekend! Man I'm way too busy for my own good. Sheesh!

Here are 17 of the 65 that were taken. :)

Val decorated the car we drove. We got lots of honks :)

Everyone stopped dancing to watch Michael Phelps win #8

Hey Look! It's a ______(insert joke here) at a bachelorette party! Don't worry he didn't come up to the room. hahaha

Gettin' The Word Out!

How cool is this! These were made by a guy named Chris Gutendof in Corvallis. He also does the posters for The Badfish Band who are amazingly talented. Anyways, all I gave him was some info and a couple of pictures and I got this back. Thanks man! I am just so excited about them I had to share it with you all. Love It!

Weekend Done and I'm Wasted!

**
Weh!! What a weekend I had! Oh my word. So I just realzed that these are going from Sunday to Friday instead of Friday to Sunday...but I don't care. So, for father's day I bought my dad and I tickets to see the imfamous Dr. Demento in Seattle at the Triple Doors. If you ever get a chance to see a show there do it. It is an amazing place with the best customer service I've ever experienced. We sang all the classics "Dead Puppies" "Fish Heads" "They're coming to take me away hehe" and of course "The lumberjack song". Once the show was finished, along with some great food and long lost memories we went to bed for the weekend ahead. Hey that rymed :D
**
We boarded a train at 8am the next morning headed for Philomath. Finally arriving it was off to Ruby Tuesday's for Emmas 22nd (WHAAAT!?!) birthday. When dinner was done we went and watched the sunset and drank some beers with her buds. It was super fun.
**
The next morning I woke up after 2 hours of sleep at 4 to catch the train. Note to others, do not go out drinking the night before you have to take a 4 hour train ride. It was the longest ride of my life. Finally I arrived home, still naucious, cranky and very tired to take a 2 hour nap...which put my sleep count up to 4 hours. UGH! That night we went and watched my favorite band Amadan sing finally in my own town! Amadan, I will always rally for you :D It was lots of fun and I miss seeing them. They are a great band and everyone should find them.
Well, that's it for now. Catch y'all on the flip side!

Good 'ol Philomath, Oregon. My lovely little hick town that grew me into what I am. We have 8 places to eat, 3 intersections and 1 Rodeo every year...that's about it :D
