Happy Birthday Jed

I'm not a very good liar, but I can do it when it's needed. I love to surprise people. My favorite thing is see a smile brought upon someones face, knowing that I have made them happy for only a moment. I had secretly sent out a bunch of emails to his friends in Washington. We decided to meet at this place called Chopstix in Tacoma. Well I told them to meet me at Chopsticks in Kent. We got all dolled up for his birthday dinner. When we started driving in the direction I told him we began to wonder. The surrounding houses and towns became more ghetto and sketchy with every mile. Obviously I had chosen the wrong spot. All in all we had a great laugh over it. From now on I will ask a bit more questions when planning a party from another state. Once we finished dinner we headed over to the real chopstix for some fun. This was a dueling piano bar. The waitress would bring pencils and paper to every table. You wrote your song down, since magically these two pianists knew every song under the sun. We told them it was Jed's 30th birthday...even though he threatened to disown us. They brought him up on stage to sing a horrible, yet oddly romantic song about Jed being the piano players prison lover. I have never laughed so hard. After that we all sang Happy Birthday. We had so much fun! It was truly a great birthday. To be honest I'm a little afraid. Jed has told me that I should get ready for my birthday...I don't think I'll leave the house for fear of what he has planned.
