The kittens who stole my heart

Recently Jed and I extended our family to two amazing, cute and highly mischievous kittens. My friend from work was fostering them at her house until they were adopted. These two kitties, i'm not sure why, had been at the shelter longer than any of the other kittens. The moment I saw them, I knew that they were meant to be ours. Jed was open to the idea of kittens some day, but when I showed him the pictures of them, it was a done deal. They're names are Cleo and Spot. Cleo was named by our friend Val. She has these awesome black lines that streak her eyes like mascara. So we named her Cleo like Cleopatra. Spot was a little harder to name. She has this really cute nose with a cute design on it as well as this huge stripe under her chin. We felt Spot fit her perfectly. The only thing about having two cats is they sleep all day...and are awake allllll night. Our bed has become a WWF wrestling mat and our shoes...well anything really has become an instant chew toy. We introduced them to our Rumba (small round robot vacuum) which was scary at first, but is now fascinating. The funniest thing I think is their fascination with the bathtub. We have an old, often cold, claw foot tub. If you're not in it, they are. They love to stand on the side and stare at the water in the mornings. haha It's hilarious. Sometimes they get to curious and end up soaking wet. As much trouble as they are sometimes, I love them, Jed loves them and they have quickly become everything to us.

Jed fell in love with her the moment he saw this photo

This photo sealed the deal. After seeing this we knew they had to be ours.

Cleo enjoying her hiding space

Cleo (front) and Spot (back) love to sleep, or wrestle, on our bed

Emma gave this tunnel to us. It makes crinkle noises. Now I know why parents hate music toys..

Spot enjoys hiding in my sock bin...You'd never know she was in there

Cleo is always hiding behind something. TV's, curtins, the bed under clothes

This is when we sigh and say "All the trouble is worth it" They're so cute

they are super cute. of course, my cat hatred is legendary. in fact i encourage trout to run 'em down. but since these are YOUR kitties i will love them as my grandcats. those new pink paws are cute. i mean, theres no gettin around that. but one day they will be CATS and then the mittens will come off. grrrrrrrrherhahahaha
