My Name is Edith and I'm Addicted to Concerts

Hahaha well it's not that bad, but I thought that was funny. I love going to concerts. If I could, I would see one every weekend. There are so many things that I love. It's amazing to hear the real voice of an artist. To see the way they sing with their body, the notes that come out the expressions on their face as they hint the hidden meaning. The crowed is another one of my favorite things about concerts. Every concert attracts a different type of music goers. Now, if you're like me and you listen to a lot of music, then you get to see some very interesting people. I love to see everyone enjoying and taking in the music that they love. The reaction that sits upon their face and in their body language. Watching the notes touch each person in a different way.

We went to see Hell’s Bells recently in Tacoma. Now, you may think to yourself “How can an all female band bring the house down while singing AC/DC?” Do not doubt the women of rock for they are fierce. Their strings are plucked faster than many I have see man or woman. Their voices pierce the air with an amazing sound that soon gets every muscle in your body movin’ and groovin’. Simply put, they are amazing. Below is their website: http://www.hellsbelles.info/

This Saturday Jed and I will venture up to Seattle to see what will probably be the most amazing concert yet. It has become a date night and will be close to perfect. The opener is the artist that we are going to see. His name is Jason Reeves (http://www.myspace.com/jasonreeves ). He sings our song Someone (lyrics @ the bottom) and I cannot wait to see him. He is a smaller artist and this will be his first show in Washington. We are going to this Amazing place called The Triple Doors. This is a place where you sit with other people in cute little booths, have drinks and enjoy a show on a beautiful stage (http://www.tripledoor.com/mainstage.aspx ). I am soo excited to go see this performance. It is a wonderful excuse to buy a new dress to wear and I must say I’m excited to see Jed all Handsome’d up J Not that he isn’t handsome already, don’t be going and putting words in my mouth.

We have one more concert in April to see The Carey Brothers (http://www.carybrothers.com/ ). This is another group I’m very excited to hear. They are playing with Ingrid Michaelson (http://www.ingridmichaelson.com/ ). If you watch scrubs you’ve heard her songs already. This is going to be on a Tuesday night in Seattle. Needless to say it will be a rough Wednesday morning. However, my friend Krista is going with her boyfriend, so Jed and him can drink and be merry at the bar while we listen to (as Jed puts it) “Whiney Hippie Music”. I ‘m excited and he is too, even if he doesn’t say it J

Well that’s enough gushing about bands and my love for them. Have a very musical day and check out these sites if you want! There is talent out there and this is proof!
