Bye Bye Subaru

After the first spin, my car went up against a Ford Bronco....which won

What was left of my trunk

Goodbye my baby. I will always love you and remember the memories. RIP

Well here is the story for anyone who is wondering. Jed and I were crossing over the pass near Snoqualmie. We came over a bump in the road which put us into a 360 spin. Jed amazingly regained control of the car to straighten us out. Unfortunately when we came out of the spin, we were put in front of a Ford Bronco which didn't stop in time. We were rear ended and my car breathed her last breath. It was a very sad moment, but I truly believe that God spun our car in a direction so that the hit was not fatal. We are so lucky to have our lives.

To all those who helped make memories in that car...thank you.

Hunter - No more butt prints on the window :D
Megan and Val - All the fun car rides :D
Andrew - No more getting stuck in my trunk with Hunter :D
Anna - Where do I start :D
Erica - Maybe we can race someone random in my next car :D
Catty - Eugene, Portland...all for music :D
Dustin - We've had great talks in there :D
Kelly - See Catty's Note and many more :D
Lauren - My eternal Subi Lover :D
Nick - That car got us to and from St. Pattys...oh man :D
Matt - I'm glad we could take it snowboarding
Jed - Thank you for everything. Thank you for saving us.

Gingerbread House

So for work I built my first gingerbread house! It was exciting and fun...at times. I built this house because there is a gingerbread house building contest at work. Everyone got a kit and we had to turn then in on Monday. So I bought tons and tons of candy! There is so much left. I started to put all of the Necco wafers on the roof. It looked so cute...until I ran out of Necco wafers. Apparently they are not as popular as I thought. These things were everywhere when I was a kid. Finally I went to the store and bought a bunch of gum. One thing I didn't know, was that gum makes an awesome gingerbread roof.

Birthday Dinner!

My friends up here rock! So does my boyfriend. For my birthday we went to this AMAZING restaurant called Primo Grill. It was delicious. We started with calamari in this orange sauce. For dinner I had this grilled Mahi-Mahi and apple-vinegar couscous. Jed had...shoot...some sort of steak, I can't remember what kind. Since it was my birthday I decided that we Needed to have dessert. We finally decided on Tera-Missu...I don't think that's spelled right. It was a Wonderful wonderful night. I felt so special. I have such a wonderful man, I really feel amazing when I am with him.

Birthday Present and Random Photos

So Jed simply could not wait. I promise that I did not beg in any way shape or form. He just suddenly bounced out of the chair and ran off saying "I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait" He was soo cute all excited and stuff. His gift was super cute too. He bought me this super super cute fluffy white bathrobe. It was such a sweet present. Anyways, so that's what the Mr. got me for my birthday. Pretty cute huh :) For Halloween I decided to go as Velma from Scooby do. I found an Orange turtleneck, which I will never ever wear again, at a cute little secondhand store. Then I went to GoodWill. Oh GoodWill, the best place ever to buy a humorous or hideous costume. Anyways, people didn't get it at first because I was behind a desk. However as soon as I stood up with my ugly frumpy red skirt, orange knee high socks and insanely ugly red shoes everyone got a big grin and said my costume was awesome. This is not a fabulous photo, but at least you can get the picture.
I found this photo on Jed's computer. It was very old, but I loved it and wanted to put it up. My favorite parts of this is that you can see how happy he is. He gets this grin on his face every once in awhile. I can catch it out of the corner of my eye or when he doesn't think I notice. I also love that you can see even though I'm kissing him, I'm obviously smiling. Wow...I just realized how totally disgustingly cute we are. Seriously, I think I might barf. Ugh. :)

Tomorrow's My Birthday

More or less I'm writing because I'm soo stinking excited. I can't wait until tomorrow. Jed is being all sneaky :) All I know is that we're going to eat somewhere. Also I get to go candy shopping tomorrow to build my gingerbread house. We're having a contest at work. I'm not going to lie...I really want to win. I have this whole house planned out. Although I'm pretty sure it's not going to be as amazing as my imagination plans on it being. Oh well, I've got the Mr. to help me plan and guide me. Uggggg okay back to something else to keep my mind off the thing hidden in the side closet :D HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT ANDE :D I'm soo blessed to share my birthday with an amazing woman.

A Sweet Trip Home

I'm a so exhausted. What does this mean for viewers and readers? I'm basically posting some photos. Jed and I went home for the weekend. I was so homesick. Who would have thought that after years of desperately trying to get out of this town, I would actually miss it. Funny how that works. However, I have to say I'm so happy in Tacoma. I am so happy with Jed. I am soo happy with my life. God has really blessed me :D

Tully's Takes on All

Tully's Coffee is a favorite here in Seattle. It is defiantly a favorite of mine as well. Everywhere you go in Washington, if there is not a Starbucks (even if there is) a Tully's is not far away. Recently I read an article that made me love Tully's even more. This wonderful coffee company is the FIRST EVER to serve all of their coffees with three special facts. 1-Tully's coffee is now 100% USDA Organic 2-All of the coffee cups and containers are Recyclable and/or biodegradable 3-All coffee that is bought by Tully's is Free-Trade. That means that the farmers are offered a fair price for their coffee. This is a giant step in changing the way markets work. Three cheers for Tully's!! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to have a second cup :D

The Puyallup Fair!! Wohooo!

I got to go to the FAIR!! The Puyallup Fair to be specific. Jed bought a little package from his work that included ride tickets, admission and food vouchers (which bought more than I thought). We went with another couple Val and Hunter who are super! I had soooo much fun. We got there and parked in some guys driveway for over half of what fair parking was. This was a little odd to me, but everyone within a 1 mile radius seemed to be doing it and it was relatively safe. We started out by looking at all the fair had to offer. One ride was a contraption that sling shot you 150 feet in the air and let you bounce a round for a bit. If the height was not enough, the price sure put it over the edge ($50) for a couple! Seeing the animals was lots of fun. Val and I ogled over the super cute baby bunnies and chicks, while Jed and Hunter made jokes about chicken nuggets and fried bunny...are you surprised :D We then ventured on to food which was much needed at that point. The Elephant Ears were made of 100% whole wheat dough, which made all the difference in the world. Jed had a BBQ Pork burger which was yummy as well. I had grilled corn, which I cannot say has ever tasted better. It was absolutely mouth watering. The rides were to fallow next. If you do not know me, then you do not know I am deathly afraid of heights. I hate heights, we do not get along. Everyone wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel....I was less than excited. I mustard up my courage and went along. Jed was wonderful, although I think I might have temporarily crippled his hand. I really enjoyed the ride, the rocking not so much, but the ride was nice. At the end I was excited to say I had actually done it. We went on a roller coaster and the gravatron after that. I have not laughed so much in a long time. Jed is a wonderful match in the fact that he will never ask me to go on a high ride or make fun of my ridiculous fears :D It was a wonderful time, filled with lots of laughs :D

Brownie Points and Music

So, Jed has officially earned brownie points for the rest of the year :D He bought me tickets to see one of my favorite female artists Colbie Caillet. She is an amazing artists! If you haven't heard of her she is on MySpace and I think has a personal web site as well. Her music is soft, acustic, surfer type songs. Anyways, I missed her last show and Jed promised we could go to her next one. I was so excited to go I started getting ready (which took all of 15 minutes) an hour before. Thank you Anna by the way for becoming my personal fashion input :D After some delicious food at Kells we headed over to get in line. As we start walking to the next spot I realize something...although I look the average age of 18 I stood out a bit. Maybe that's because the average age of this show was about 11-15 all of which were female. Jed suddenly became less excited than he already was. The show started off with a bang by openers....oh crap I've forgotten their name. How horrible of me...Anyways, they were great and if you can recognize them from the pictures more power to you. The opener for Colbie was Tyron Wells. A man obviously recognized by the audience. After my ears stoppeb bleeding from the high shrills of little girls in love, we were able to enjoy some awsome beats. Tyron plays more pop-rock music. He his very funny and quit the story teller. Finally it was on to the main act. Colbie was fabulous. I thought it cute that she said thank you to the applause after each song. She was very sweet and made every girl jealous that they could not wear her dress nearly as good as she could. The show was wonderful! This was an amazing night thanks to a wonderful boy who decided to ignore his ears for an eavenng :D I put some pictures from the show below.

Brownie points kept him going :D

I'm freaking out...

Like it says above. I leave less than twelve hours from now. My place has hardwood floors, windows everywhere, a claw foot bathtub, huge mirrors, cute neighbors, a Victorian neighborhood....and it's beautiful. So like I said in the title...I'm freaking out

Prepare for Departure

"I move in two days." That is the thought that was going through my head earlier this morning. The day has passed me by and my thoughts are now "Oh...My...Gosh! I move in ONLY 2 DAYS!!!" The soft spoken, matter-of-fact tone has turned to complete excitement and anxiousness. I cannot wait to drive off on my own. Watching the sunrise break above the mountains and know that I have a new life waiting for me only hours ahead. The first day I get to Tacoma I'll be moving into my new home. Jed is helping me unload boxes. I will have to buy him dinner or something. We have LOTS of boxes to push and shove up three flights of stairs. I said I wanted to work out, but this wasn't exactly what I had in mind. There are so many new ideas, possibilities, opportunities and wonderful things I can't wait to begin.

Well, I need to make sure I have all that I own. I've checked, double checked and triple checked. One would guess I'm excited ;) Here we go!!!

Seattle and Alki Beach

Seattle is by far my favorite place to go. The sights, the people, the smell...well of the market that is. Never have I felt like I belong in a city as much as Seattle. This place pulls me in everytime. I hate to leave, but love to return. Alki beach is a place that is quietly tucked across the bridge. The town is beautiful and calm, quaint in it's own right. The sun was high and the wather was hot. A perfect day to pace the city and the beach. When we return we plan to use kayaks and go crabbing around in the waters. We also got to tour the Red Hook Brewery Mmmmm The tour costs $1. For $1 you got a pint glass to keep and a pint and a half of fresh beer. Not bad, not bad at all. This town is too much fun!
