Now I'm all for being happy in the morning. You know birds chirping, the sun shinning (metaphorically speaking in Washington), so on and so on. It's a refreshing change to have at work one in awhile.

There is, and should be, a limit to this cheerfulness however. If you cross this limit you are the forever repeated butt of a joke like the "case of the Mondays" girl in Office Space. Why am I sometimes in a bad mood at work? Let's call him Annoying Arnold. He'd so absurdly hyper in the morning the cheerfulness dies in the the dripping carelessness. Yes, he's that guy. You know the guy who has a hint of car salesman in him with just a touch of chummy manly man and a sprinkle of uber metro. The guy who asks how you are just to say it and is out of the room before you can respond. Literally, he asks and as I'm in the middle of a sentence I realize the door is closing and he hasn't heard a word I've said. The guy who's done everything and more. No matter what you say, he's done it bigger and better, but has suggestions for your next attempt at his greatness. The guy with the perfected fake laugh which sounds just real enough to make you think he cares or even paying attention for that matter. The guy who's attention span is that of a 3 year old child in the middle of a candy store and endless amounts of money. I work with that guy. Good old Annoying Arnold.

This person drives me bonkers. BONKERS! I'm sorry he has not embraced the personality of anyone beyond the age of 13. I'm sorry. Really, I wish it was not so bad, but it is. Everyday. "Hey!" "How Ya' Doin' Buddy?" "You know what would be really fun next time" "I've got an idea" Of course you do, if you didn't have an idea your head would either shrink or explode.

Teehee here he comes again for round two...OH BOY OH BOY!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY!!

So last Saturday was the first sunny day we've had in months up here. I got the brilliant idea, along with the entire Tacoma population, to go to the zoo. Jed and I got all of our motorcycle gear on, saddled up and rode off. I love riding on the bike on a nice day. It was soo nice outside. The sun on your face, the wind in your hair, watching everything go by. Wonderful. We had a lot of fun. I thought I'd put a few photos up. Not too many because I'm sure people only want to see so many animal photos. We ate sandwiches as we walked around. They had baby otters, which you'll see. Seriously, those were the cutest things ever. They were just little balls of fur that would run around and roll over things. I loved it. We had a great time. I suggest a trip to the zoo anytime for everyone. However, when we came back we found our parking a little interesting. Jed parked horizontal or sideways near the grass by a no parking sign. No biggie. However, when we were coming out we notice a guy pulling into that spot since the signs were moved. How on earth did he expect to get out?!? Seriously, that is just rude. When you are parking try to give a little respect to allllll kinds of driver. Otherwise, not my fault if you parked so close we bumped your car :) Oh well, hahahah

Jed says he's allergic to the sun. We try to stay out of the sun :)

Look, It's the stars of Happy Feet!

Big kitty staying cool out of the sun

Honestly, how could you not think these things are cute?!?

It's a noodle, no wait a stick, no wait a Seahorse!

They are too stinking cute!

From Kittens to Cats

So Jed and I are in denial about the fact that our baby kitties are growing up. They have finally started getting their adult teeth in. It was almost humorous because they would laugh and there would just be these front teeth and a mouth full of gums. I love them so. Cleo has become quit the independent one. However, when it comes to bed she feels she has to be under the sheets in between Jed and I snuggling. It's soo stinking cute. I hope she never grows out of this. Spot has become very tight nit with daddy. It's so cute. When he comes home she gets super excited and runs into the living room to wait for him. He's the only one she lets hold her and carry her around. When he does homework she sits with him until he's done. I have to say, that little kitty has got him wrapped around her little paw. They're not cats yet though. I was so excited when I went to the store to buy cat food, I discovered that for 7 more months they get kitten food. It will be a bittersweet day when I have to buy cat food instead of kitten food. It will mean my babies have officially grown up. Well enjoy the photos of our "teenagers" :)

This is what we call the Cleo chair. It's her chair, no arguments :)

Ingrid Michaelson, William Fitzsimmons, Meiko & Carey Brother

Oh what a concert! Seriously, it was amazing! The lineup, if you know any of the artists, was truly amazing! If you don't know them, go to Google.com, type their name in and prepare to be mesmerized. This was a great concert. Jed, bless his heart, went even though it was not his type of music. He's such a wonderful guy! We had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed that all of the artists would sing with each other and goof off together. It made the concert seem so personal. The venue however, was a little difficult to find. There literally is a sign that says box office on this side street and a whole in the wall for a door. I passed it twice before realizing where it was. The best part was when all of the artists came out into the middle of the audience and played for us. They got everyone to sing the same song with them. It really was amazing and left a very lasting impression. We did leave early however. My opinion on concerts is that there should be at the absolute MOST three bands per show. If there are more bands then start the show early for pete sake. I mean honestly we were there for 4 hours and the show was not over. On a Tuesday night none the less. There is a hilarious photo as to why I decided to leave, you'll see, it's amazing. Well that's it on concert thoughts :)

Ingrid Michaelson. Amazing voice. Listen to "The Way I Am"

Carey Brothers. I love that he redid "If You Were Here" from Sixteen Candles

Meiko. Great soft sound. Amazing use of interments.

When they all came into the audience, AMAZING!

I walked up the stairs, saw this and knew it was past someone's bedtime :)

Mind Spew

This is going to be a very random, nonfluent flow of ideas and thoughs. I think the copious amounts of cold medicine I've been taking have made it difficult to think straight. Monday I was fine, then came the stomach ache, then the sinuses and now the cough. It's pretty amazing if I do say so myself. This makes me think about the amount of sick days employers allow. Do they really think that only 6 times out of the entire year, they're employees are going to get sick. Honestly, I don't get sick very often, but it makes me timid to use my sick time.

Another thought is of the recent concert I went to. It was called the Hotel Cafe Tour. There were Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers, Jon Fitzsimmons, and two others. There should never be more than three bands in one show. If there must be more, the concert should not start at 9pm. Honestly how late on a Tuesday night to they expect us to stay out? Seriously, it's rediculous. Everyone but me had fallen asleep on the couch we were seated out (an amazing photo soon to come).

Last weekend I went to Corvallis to visit the family and my best friend Sarah. She is a doll and without her my life would be insanity. She is the glue that sometimes holds me together and I'm sure i'm that for her, or at least I hope to be. We had a ball. The Crow Bar in Corvallis served us our favorite combo (Whole wheat crust, pesto sauce, soy cheese and fresh tomatos). The Oregon Trail Wit was a much missed beer flavor. I enjoyed it emensly. Finally went to her house ate junk food and watched girly movies. What on earth would I do without you. Until our next venture, stay calm until I arrive :)

Okay it's lunch time and I'm off to drink some much delicious chicken noodle soup. Hope you enjoy your day and the photos.

Hasta!!

The laundromat was so exciting there was standing room only

Jed watches the laundry and I watch Jed

Things may come and go, but always keep your best friend!!

SHOES!

So, per my wonderful aunt, I am posting my thoughts on the subject of shoes. I just must say. I love them. Shoes are amazing little pieces of art you can take with you wherever you go. Why not buy the crazy, colorful, extravagant pairs? It's usually those pairs that catch the thoughtful eye of another. You put on one pair and you can be anything you want. There is a special feeling you get when you put on your favorite pair matched carefully with your favorite outfit and you strut down the sidewalk. Simply put shoes are amazing. I love them. Jed however says my taste in shoes is..."aquired" hehe You be the judge.

St. Patricks Day Festivities

I call them my Bubble Gum Shoes

Jed says they look like "wedding" Shoes. I say summer

Banna Love! These are too expensive, but so amazing

If only I live in the days of mobsters. I'd be the hippest shoes around.

My Walk for My Father

Every time I hear his laughter, I know why I walk.
Ever time he gives me hope, I know why I walk.
Ever time I think of my dad, I know why I walk.

My father has had Type 2 diabetes since he was 30 years old...which means he's had it for awhile :) This is something my family deals with every day. He takes 8 shots a day, tests his blood 8 times a day. My Uncle has Type 2 diabetes as well. There is a good chance someday my children may have diabetes. Those who do not live with diabetes do not know the costs, the memories, the worries that it exhausts on your family.

There needs to be a cure for my father, for my uncle, for my friends. Help me fight diabetes. Help me find a cure.If 250 peolpe doneate $10 I could reach my goal! That's about the same as just two of your favorite coffee drinks!
